Bi-directional interfaces
Bi-directional interfaces are two-way interfaces which can transfer data in both directions between the source and destination system. A classic example of this would be the scenario when EMR and practice management systems are two disparate software. Here, the patient demographic and appointment information captured by the front office using the practice management system needs to show up in the EMR. Once the doctor sees the patient and enters the medical notes that get converted to ICD & CPT codes, this information needs to go back to the practice management software for billing. Thus, information flow is both ways. Truworth designs custom bi-directional interfaces on a variety of platforms between various source and destination systems.
